May 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer had a mastectomy done on my right. Oct of 2024 i was diagnosed with desmoid fibromatosis in my right side. The desmoid was attached to my inner wall and my implant. They removed the desmoid on 1/25 due to my history with breast cancer. They were unable to remove all of it. The treatment plans was to tamoxifen that I was already on for the breast cancer and NSAIDs and to do MRI every 3 months. My 1st and 2nd MRI was good. My 3rd one they saw something in the same area and this last it has grown back to the size it was before the surgery. Has any have gone thru this?

That’s great news. I have one questionable margin. I go see oncologist on Monday. My surgeon was not concerned about the desmoid. But he was concerned about focal flat epithelial hyperplasia so following up on that.

Last March I had a Desmoid tumor removed from my right breast. The tumor was noted the prior month of November during routine mammogram. Consulted at Mayo Clinic the first of January after biopsy revealed Desmoid tumor and was told their new policy was to watch and wait. My internist had me consult with a breast surgeon near me and she recommended excision. Clear margins were obtained and 8 months postoperative there is no evidence of tumor. Very scary.

Same, right. I had wide excision on 11/18. Biopsy was inconclusive.
